BDE ARC was started in 1996 by a collection of amateur radio operators who all or were sysops or users of various WWIV (landline) BBS systems in the Los Angeles area. Although these BBS's ("BDE", "QRU", "Castle Kzin" and others) are no more, our interest in amateur radio has survived.
